Background
In September of 2009 Anatta will conduct an Irlen Vision Screening Project at the Mt.Vernon Avenue School in Irvington, New Jersey. This facility is one of 11 elementary schools in Irvington Township School District. It is a public school that serves 457 students in grades K through 5. We expect to screen 200-300 children at risk for learning disabilities in a weekend event.

The Anatta team will be led by our Vice President, Jeri LaVigne, an Irlen diagnostician for many years. Our President, Conni Santschi, along with Outreach Committee members Judith and Marc Gaston will perform the initial screening protocols. This event will be conducted in conjunction with the school administrators, teachers and special education staff. Judith Gaston, a teacher at the Mt.Vernon School is coordinating the event on behalf of Anatta.
